The Presidents Points - End of Days
As we come to the "end of days", and all eyes watch the unfolding of the conflict between Israel and her Arab neighbors, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, etc. I find it interesting that peace, even a momentary peace, as we seem to have today, can be obtained at all. Israel responds to attacks on itself with great force, and Iran pledges to wipe out all of the Zionists, which is just another name for the Jews. Clearly the Arab hatred for the Jews exceeds their will for self preservation. Iran builds her first atomic weapons, and can hardly wait to use them. As Hal Lindsey points out in his weekly report, this is not an ordinary war. This is a war between the God of the Jews (Yaweh), and the god of the Arabs (Ala). It is also a war predicted by Psalms 83:1-5 in the Bible, which says;
O God, do not keep silence; do not hold thy peace or be still, O God! For lo, thy enemies are in tumult; those who hate thee have raised their heads. They lay crafty plans against thy people; they consult together against thy protected ones. They say, "Come, let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be remembered no more!" Yea, they conspire with one accord;
Clearly this has been coming for a long time, thousands of years at least. Can the war be stopped? No, I don't think so. Can it slowed down? Well, it would appear so, but you can be sure that it won't be slowed down any more than God wants it slowed down. You see, I know who is in control. It is Yaweh, the one and only God. He created the universe, and He maintains it from moment to moment by His will. Do we as Christians need to be afraid of these coming events? No, God promises that "All things work together for the good, for those that love the Lord". So, do you need to be afraid of these coming events, if you are not a Christian? That is a good question.
Take a moment right now, to accept Jesus as your Saviour. Simply ask Him to be your Saviour. His answer is always YES!. Eternal security is only a few moments away.

Interesting statements, but your basic premise is fundamentally wrong. This is not a war between the "God of the Jews" and the "God of the Arabs" (or more correctly, the "God of the Muslims"). And it is definitely not perceived that way by the Jews and Muslims.
In fact, it can't be a war between one god and another. Why? Because Jews and Muslims both agree that they worship the same god!
The Jews understand that Islam's "Allah" is the same god as their "Yahweh". The Q'uran even states that Allah is the same god as the god of the Jews (and of the Christians).
Islam (and the Q'uran itself) teaches that Islam is derived from Judaism and Christianity. Muslims believe that the Jews and Christians went astray from the true teachings of God (remember, "Allah" is just the Arabic word for "God") and that the prophet Mohammed was given Allah's (God's) revelation to set things straight.
The Q'uran refers to Jews, Christians, and Muslims collectively as "People of the Book," and they are as a group considered to be more enlightened than heathen unbelievers. Muslims recognize Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed to all be prophets of God. In fact, the common Muslim given names of Ibrahim, Musa, and Isa are all the Arabic versions of Abraham, Moses, and Jesus.
So this war is not even remotely about one god vs. another. It is about something else entirely.

Wow, two comments in one day. I'm thrilled! I can't say I agree with the view either of you hold, but I do respect your right to hold them.
I am what would be described as a Christian literalists. I believe the Bible tells the truth completely. I may not always understand everything it says, but I will just wait for it's truth to be opened to me.
I suspect that both of you would call me closed minded, and I suppose you are right from your perspective, but I guess we will all have to wait for the "real truth" to be revealed, either for each of us in this life, or in the next.
Let the Truth be revealed!

Actually, the point I made about the god of the Jews being the same as the god of the Muslims (and of the Christians) is not "view" that one can agree or disagree with. It is a fact.
I realize that many, if not most people who profess to believe in one religion or another are not aware of this fact, but that is just a matter of education (although Muslims are for the most part well aware of this fact since it is a teaching that is central to the religion). However, religious leaders and scholars from all three religions agree that they all worship the same god.
I point this out only because if you truly want to understand the roots of this conflict then you need to be aware of this and factor it into your thinking.

Someone calling themselves seven hand stars has been posting responses to my blog, and I have decided to remove his posts. I am doing this for two reasons;
1. He put links in his posts, to his own site.
2. He claims to be the Messiah, which he can't be, since the Messiah I know will come in power, not as a commenter to a blog.
I consider him a false prophet/teacher, and I don't want anyone that might read my blog to get confused by accidently going to his web site and reading his false doctrine.
He will now doubt consider me closed minded, and he is right, I have a Messiah, I don't need another one.
Notice to seven hand, don't post any more responses on my blog, I will just delete them.
I think the Bible says it best;
Deuteronomy 13:2-5 (NIV)
2 and if the sign or wonder of which he has spoken takes place, and he says, "Let us follow other gods" (gods you have not known) "and let us worship them," 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. 5 That prophet or dreamer must be put to death, because he preached rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery; he has tried to turn you from the way the LORD your God commanded you to follow. You must purge the evil from among you.
