CMA Day of Prayer was today, a group of us met at 5 Guys Burgers for lunch, and then headed over to Hill Country Baptist Church, just down the block, where they have a very nice Prayer Garden where we could all get together and, yes you guessed it, pray. We went to the Escondidos MC 2nd annual Mardi Gras Party, which was a crawfish boil at C-Hunts in Austin on Burnet Rd. Well, the preparations for tomorrows Legislative Day were held today at the VFW Hall in north Austin. As you can see from the photos, we had a great turnout of legislative freedom fighter prepared to go the distance "politically" to protect our God given freedoms. Sputnik would be proud to see we are carrying on his legacy, even bigger and better than last year.

We had our 2011 CMA Officer Training today in Waco at The Church Of The Open Door. There was a big group, and we heard lots of testimonies, not to mention some actual training for our individual offices. I am Chaplain again this year, what a surprise. I received this flyer from the Taylor CMA chapter. They are putting on a rally to help raise money for RFTS (Run For The Son). RFTS is the only sanctioned fund raiser that CMA has, and the Cross Country Riders are going for it with this rally. They are going to have BBQ plates, a bike blessing and music. Met everyone at the Roadhouse in Round Rock, before heading over to the Texas baptist Children Home to deliver all the toys. Everyone had a great time, kids too of course. We went to the Free Indeed Celebration event at Austin Christian Fellowship church today. We have been before, but this year they asked us to be exhibitors. So we had a table and displayed several of the CMA tracks and things like the ROT Rally shop rag tracks. We played a CMA video on Debbie's laptop. We had a good time, had some good conversations, and gave away several tracts and bibles.

We went to our monthly New Life Riders chapter meeting this evening. Had a good meeting, and elected new officers for 2011. Debbie and I went to the benefit for the family of Joanna Claudine Cowon, at Hanovers in Pflugerville today. I heard a couple of days ago that Sputnik, our fearless leader of TMRA II (Texas Motorcycle Rights Association) has passed away. He worked tirelessly until the end. We went on a "very small" (just two bikes) chapter ride satruday, the high was 95', but we got home before that. A benefit was held for the parents of of Shaylah Dame, who was killed out in Round Rock, in front of the community center. The event was primarily to provide emotional support for the family. Shayla Dane was struck by a car and killed this last Thursday Jan 28th, while trying to cross Gattis School Road in Round Rock to get to the Community Center in her neighborhood.
