CMA North Texas Region Campout at Twisted Tator's Park- teaser

Debbie and I went to the North Texas CMA Region Campout this weekend, and I took lots of photos as usual at these things, so I have lots of picture processing to do before I can get things posted. So, as a teaser, here is one photo of Matt fishing at the Twisted Tator's Park lake (or is it pond?). More pictures shortly.

As usual, you can click on any image for a larger version, and you can save any picture you like, just click on it and then right click and then click save as.

As the caption on the table says; "I will Make you fishers of men" from Matt 4:19

Encouragement - UCOA Chaplains Moment for September 15th

What do you consider encouragement? When you are down, or feeling overwhelmed, what would encourage you? Well, I think encouragement comes in many forms, like helping out a brother or sister, or attending the benefits we are all so familiar with. That is real encouragement, the really simple things, like being there to listen when a friend is down and maybe out. Sometimes you don't even need to say anything, just being willing to be there is all that is required. We all get down or depressed from time to time, and when we are like that, we need someone to give us a nudge or a hand to help us start climbing back up. Matthew 11:28-30 says: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.". Jesus is saying, that we don't have to do it all on our own, He is always available to help. In fact, one of the definition of the word "christian" is "little Christ", so let us share our burdens, and encourage each other, whenever the opportunity arises.

Memorial Service for Madhatter - Phillip Traweek
Debbie and I went to the memorial service for Madhatter this afternoon at the VFW Post 8787, just north of Breaker on IH35. There was a good turnout, and we got to hear lots of stories about how Hatter touched peoples lives. Bob Pudwill, the CMA South Central Region Area Rep gave the invocation. We had a great time of fellowship after the service. Phillip had made a profession of faith in Jesus as his savior, so we can be confident he is now out riding his bike on the heavenly highways. He will be missed by many, and he will certainly be remembered by everyone who ever came in contact with him.

As usual, you can click on any of the images below and view a larger version in your web browser. Then right click and you can save an image to your local hard drive.

The S.H.E. Raduz had their bike/car wash at Woods motorcycle sports center in support of Lupus Foundation. Looked like they were pretty busy all the time we were there. Here are the best of the pictures I took.
